Membership for 1st September 2026 – 31st August 2027
Membership for the year costs just £10 per person. Members benefit from reduced price entry to the series of lectures and events at Chester’s Grosvenor Museum. For lectures entrance is £3.00 instead of £6.00 guest admission. We keep you informed of our events and lectures by email. Your membership fee is used by the Society to fund acquisitions for the collection, conservation, exhibitions and to enhance every visitor’s experience at the Museum. The Society has granted over £200,000 to the Grosvenor Museum since its foundation in 1981, including £45,000 since 2020. We have no staff costs – all roles are undertaken by volunteers who give their time freely, so your membership fees will go entirely to helping the GMS and the Grosvenor Museum.
To renew your membership/ join you can use the following methods:
- Bank Transfer – you can pay your membership fee(s) online via bank transfer. Our bank details remain the same.
If you have previously paid by bank transfer, please use the same Grosvenor Museum Society bank account to make the payment of £10 per person and any donation.
When you have paid by bank transfer, please email info@grosvenormuseumsociety.co.uk to let us know you have rejoined so that we can keep our records up to date.
Please also advise us if you would like Grosvenor Museum Society to claim Gift Aid on your membership and any donation.
If you do not have our bank account details email info@grosvenormuseumsociety.co.uk and we will send the information to you.
- In person – you can join at any of the lectures and will receive the reduced-price admission. Please pay by cheque, card or cash. Membership forms are available at the welcome desk.
- By post – please email info@grosvenormuseumsociety.co.uk We will send you a form and ask you to return sending payment.
When you join or renew your membership, please consider adding a donation to the Grosvenor Museum Society to help us with our work. Please just add this to the payment. The Society will claim gift aid on your fee and donation if you have registered this with us. Please ask for details if not!
